There are new reports that suggest the Queen of England is having a hard time writing her annual Christmas speech, simply because there has been so much drama and controversy surrounding the royal family in recent weeks and in particular, Prince Andrew’s scandalous behavior. If there’s one thing that we know, it’s that Queen Elizabeth is probably wanting this year to come to a close already. That’s because all of the negative headlines about Prince Andrew have definitely dampened the mood behind the scenes at Buckingham Palace. What’s more, both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also made so many headlines after they admitted to feeling rather downcast about the criticism they’ve received from the media, too.

With that said, it should come as no surprise that this is all coming down really hard on the Queen. That’s why she doesn’t know what to say or how she is supposed to address the United Kingdom in her Christmas speech.

“We don’t know what the queen plans to say because we haven’t seen the speech yet,” a source told veteran royal reporter Katie Nicholl in a new interview for Vanity Fair magazine. “It’s still at a first-draft stage because of the election, but it probably hasn’t been the easiest speech to write. It has been a very difficult time behind the scenes, and morale is at a bit of a low.”

That’s because both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to have their own Christmas celebration with her mother Doria Ragland instead. This, of course, won’t look good as the Queen likes it when the royal family looks like they are strong and united in front of the cameras. However, if there is one person who the Queen can count on, it’s her son Prince Andrew, who will make the walk from her estate to the church on Christmas morning.
