It looks like no matter what they do or say, they just can’t win with their critics lately. As our readers probably already know, we are talking about Prince William and Kate Middleton as it seems like they have a new public enemy: PETA.

That’s because the organization didn’t hold back on their criticism when it was revealed that the Prince and Princess of Wales bred their dog, Orla.

Orla actually came from Kate’s brother James Middleton, who now wants to be known as a professional dog breeder.

Well, PETA definitely said something about it, calling the royals “staggeringly out of touch.”

Peta’s Vice President of Programmes Elisa Allen said: “The Prince and Princess of Wales should know that shelters here and worldwide are overflowing with puppies desperate for a second chance at a loving home, and that churning out a litter in the midst of this animal homelessness crisis is staggeringly out of touch.

“If William is going to lead, he might well take a lesson from King Charles and Queen Camilla, who have chosen to adopt from a shelter rather than contribute to the problem.

Are William And Kate Wrong For Breeding Their Dog?

Of course, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.
Some have even commented with, “There are millions of dogs killed every year in shelters.

reeding it buying a puppy from a breeder literally means a dog that could have been adopted is being put to death.”

“The whole process of using a female dog’s babies as a profit center is also just too awful. I don’t know how breeders live with themselves.”

Another critic of the royal family wrote, “This is problematic and PETA was right to call them out. How much does James Middleton know about breeding?? Does he know about selective breeding and dogs’ family history? That guy is an idiot and this is one of his vanity projects.”

And then there was this comment as well: “I give them a side-eye for most of their nonsense, but this is too much. They should absolutely know better than to not spay their dog or (worse) choose to breed her. It’s disgusting, shelters are overwhelmed and dogs are getting euthanized every day. So out of touch and entitled.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space for more.
