It seems like Prince William and Kate Middleton are spending more time thinking about their royal engagements than actually participating in any these days.
That’s because there’s a new report that suggests the Prince and Princess of Wales have so far put in the least amount of work this year compared to the other members of the royal family.
In fact, William and Kate have noly done 40 joint engagements in the last eight months and royal fans want to know why. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Prince William And Kate Middleton Have Barely Done Any Royal Work This Year So Far
While many royal experts beleive that William and Kate are in a “unique position” to help boost the economy seeing how they are two of the most popular members of the royal family these days, it seems like they prefer to spend more time behind closed doors than out with the public.
And of course, royal fans want to know why. The last time the Prince and Princess of Wales clocked in so few engagements in one year was back in 2019.
Royal expert Ricahrd Fitzwilliams even offered, “I would think William and Catherine might well take on more, those they have taken on certainly have a unique cachet…
After the Queen’s death and after the Sussexes and Andrew ceased to carry out royal engagements, the Palace announced a review of royal patronages.
With fewer of them and only four working royals under 70 expect fewer royal engagements.”
William And Kate Take More Vacation Days Than Other Royals
When asked what he thought about the low engagement numbers, Fitzwilliams said, “This is comparatively few numerically compared to the usual number senior royals such as Princess Anne have been involved with, but [Kate and William] are in a unique position to boost the profile of those they are attached to.”
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter. However, a lot of people have pointed out that William and Kate have taken the most amount of vacation days this year compared to their royal counterparts.

Get off their back. These two are always working in some capacity. They both have been given more responsibilities. Much of Prince William’s work is behind the scenes and the same is for Kate they are in constant correspondence. They are also the only working Royals that have little kids. They are allowed some private life. They are highly admired in the US with a survey that was done. With our president we certainly can recognize hardwork and commitments to their country.
I think the royal couple needed a rest and had to reset all they have to do This past year has been horrible for them with everything going on I know I would need some time to reset from all of it Not only did they have to deal with the Queens death, all the bs from Harry and Meghan, which comes along with much drama, the drama with Andrew, the changes in the country without the queen, the hoopla of Charles becoming King, the changes in their roles as Charles became King, the extra duties put on both of them especially since Harry is not there to help, these people are exhausted. Then comes the press to top the cake spreading several non-true rumors of infidelity’s and raising children once again this is all hard to deal with Hopefully 2024 will be extremely productive for both of them Maybe Harry will be back without Meghan and that will be great That is an unfortunate reality that may come true but so be it She will get the money she wants and move onto another sucker to bleed him dry She is not al nice person to Harry or their family The gold digger is only in this for herself She is a class B actor and she definitely shows that in her acting like a human being
I wish the royals good luck for the future and maybe they can get it all back together as it seem like the king is trying his best to repair all the damage that has been created
