British Royal News suggest that Prince William and Kate Middleton are leaning on Carole Middleton for all of the love and support they can get now that Megxit is a done deal. As a matter of fact, reports indicate that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have certainly managed to rock the boat after it was announced that they wanted to quit the royal family. This leaves the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as the only ‘royal power couple’ in the spotlight along with plenty of work to do, too. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the UK’s The Sun, Carole Middleton is said to be “the power behind the throne” and someone who has immense influence over not only her daughter, but the Future King of England as well. One royal expert by the name of Phil Dampier says that Kate often looks to her mother for advice on everything from motherhood and how to deal with her fame. And apparently William does the same thing, despite the fact that he has a team of royal advisers by his side every day.

He said, “Carole is a very strong woman who comes from quite a humble background, and the fact that she has worked herself up with a successful business has given her a backbone of steel. Kate turns to her for advice and comfort all the time and she spends a lot of time with William and Kate’s three children.”

Dampier also suggested that Carole has been the couple’s rock as they are trying to make do with what the can following the seismic public announcement that Harry and Meghan made back in January.

He added, “Now that Harry and Meghan have in effect left the royal family, there is a lot more pressure on William and Kate. Carole will be a stabilizing and supportive force in the background, looking after the kids when needs be but also just being there for them.”
