Apparently, a lot of people are comparing Harry and Meghan’s car chase to Princess Diana’s death in 1997. TMZ reported earlier on Tuesday that Harry and Meghan were chased by the paparazzi soon after the couple attended a glitzy NYC gala where the Duchess of Sussex received an award.

A spokesperson for the couple said in a statement: “This relentless pursuit, lasting over 2 hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians, and 2 NYPD officers.”

And now some people believe that Prince William has every reason in the world to be upset. And that’s not because Harry and Meghan were being chased by the paparazzi, but because so many people are comparing this to Princess Diana’s death. Some people are even saying that the chase might have been staged.

Some people have commented on the matter with, “Honestly, If I were Prince William, this would be the last straw for me. For Harry to use their mother’s tragic death as a publicity stunt to get attention & win a security case in the UK is beyond sordid & inhumane. Harry has Zero morality left in him; he is lost to Hollywood & money,” along with, “Lying about a threat in another country is off the rails. Another critic wrote, “Prince William and the rest of the RF must be appalled that Harry, who’s always on about Diana, would cheapen her memory this way. This is disgraceful. Isn’t it time they are stripped of their titles and disowned.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
