Princess Catherine honored Mountain Rescue Awareness Day by sharing a previously unseen photo of her husband, Prince William, and their three kids, Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and Prince Louis.
A New Picture For Royal Fans
The photo itself isn’t new, but royal family fans haven’t seen it before. When Princess Catherine shared it on social media this weekend, she included some local mountain rescue folks in the picture.
The photo that arrived on her official Instagram page came with a long explanation, and it said in part, “On Mountain Rescue Awareness Day, we send our heartfelt thanks to all those who volunteer their time and expertise to keep people safe in some of our most beautiful but challenging landscapes.”
The Three Peaks Challenge
She took part in the National Three Peaks Challenge earlier this year. It’s a grueling challenge that’s designed to test stamina, and those who enter it get to climb up Ben Nevis, Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon, and Scafell Pike.

Those who enter get driven between the peaks, and the challenge is to complete them all within 24 hours. CNN reported that Catherine, the Princess of Wales, completed the climbs “to support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, a specialist cancer center in Chelsea, west London.”
As she was treated for cancer, royal family fans took it as a wonderful sign that she was mending well. Now that she shared the photo of the family and others on social media, plenty of people engaged with her in the comments.
