July turned out to be quite a month for the British Royal Family. It was a busy month with everything from Doctor Who entrances to big courtroom losses. Here’s a full breakdown of what went down across the main members of the family.

King Charles III & Queen Camilla

The King and Queen spent most of July up at Balmoral Castle in Scotland for their usual summer break. But they stepped out on July 23 to open the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Royal fans loved it because they didn’t just walk out on stage. They arrived inside a TARDIS from Doctor Who that supposedly traveled all the way from Balmoral to the venue. According to Hello! Magazine, the appearance marked a “spectacular arrival” and a “royal first” for the pair.

Other news reports also claimed Iran warned King Charles about allowing the US to fly out of the UK to attack their country in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, their guest list in Scotland remained strictly limited. Reports indicate Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor did not get an invite to join them at the estate this year.

Prince William & Princess Kate

Family took center stage for the Prince and Princess of Wales this month. They spent July 12 at the Wimbledon men’s final with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Kate handed the winning trophy to Jannik Sinner after the match.

Behind closed doors, family dynamics stayed tricky. Prior to the match, Us Weekly reported that Kate was “trying to convince William to see Harry” while his brother visited the UK. The brothers ended up skipping a reunion entirely.

The couple closed out the month on a happier note when they celebrated Prince George turning 13 on July 22.

Prince Harry

July hit the Duke of Sussex hard. He flew into the UK for Invictus Games and later, Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet, met with King Charles and Queen Camilla for the first time since 2022 during a quiet gathering at Highgrove on July 10.

A heavy legal loss arrived ahead of the family reunion. On July 7, the High Court tossed out Harry’s privacy claims against Associated Newspapers Ltd. As reported by Al Jazeera, the tribunal prepared “to rule in Prince Harry’s Daily Mail privacy case” after years of back-and-forth legal fighting.

Harry now faces legal fees that could hit £50 million. He didn’t hold back after the ruling, calling the judge’s verdict a “whitewash.”

Princess Anne

The loved and respected Princess Royal kept up her typical high-speed schedule. Princess Anne took off on a diplomatic trip through Asia alongside her husband, Sir Tim Laurence, from July 13 to July 17.

Her tour included stops in South Korea and Thailand. While in South Korea, she marked the 75th anniversary of the Battle of the Imjin River and sat down with President Lee Jae-Myung. According to Town & Country, she also met with the K-pop group NMIXX during her “South Korea visit.“

She later met the King and Queen of Thailand before flying back home. By July 25, she was checking on a prison farm project out in Wales.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

Things aren’t getting any easier for the former Duke of York and the rest of the royal family seem to keep their distance.

As reported by Hello! Magazine, he has “settled into Sandringham exile amid reports” that he wasn’t invited to Balmoral.

Public institutions are pulling back their honors, too. On July 27, news broke that city officials are stepping in. An article by the International Business Times noted that the “City of London” plans to “revoke Andrew honour” after he refused to give up his Freedom of the City award on his own.

Local authorities aren’t done with him either. Thames Valley Police are still investigating claims regarding misconduct in public office. Meanwhile, his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, lost her charity trust, which we reported was dissolved this week.
