It looks like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aren’t the only people breaking royal protocol in front of Queen Elizabeth these days. As a matter of fact, there’s a new report that says newly married Princess Eugenie managed to do the same thing in front of her grandmother with her husband, Jack Brooksbank. Here’s what we know.

According to reports, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have taken a page out of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s handbook and apparently held hands in front of Queen Elizabeth during the royal family’s Christmas Day outing. And as many royal fans know, holding hands is reportedly against royal protocol. The Queen frowns upon any kind of public display of affection, and especially in front of the media.

But it looks like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might have started a trend here as everyone seems to be holding hands, cuddling and getting more up close and personal lately. Earlier reports and photos showed Kate Middleton placing her hand on Prince William’s lap during Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s royal wedding back in October.

It was the first time in a very long time that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge showed affection in public, as they are usually very distant and reserved with one another. Clearly, Harry and Meghan are on to something!
