It seems that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are the gifts that keeps on giving following their dramatic and public break with the Royal Family this year. Since then other royals have had to pick up the slack and fill in for the two who left everything behind in order to live the good life in California.
Now comes word that even before their graceless exit some royals were struggling to cope with the workload. It seems that Princess Eugenie, who normally seems the picture of cool and calm, had an overload moment of her own.
Apparently being a princess and carrying on with a stiff upper lip isn’t as easy as it looks. She has to balance a hectic schedule as a charity patron as a member of the Royal Family, the same as her equally glamorous sister Princess Beatrice. The sisters have worked to raise awareness on behalf of numerous charities following Harry and Meghan’s exit.
Now comes word that even before that the schedule was so hectic that Eugenie acknowledged feeling challenged as she prepared for her wedding and continued to work as a royal.
Princess Eugenie Had A Trying Moment As She Worked On Her Charitable Endeavors
Speaking to Vogue in 2018 Eugenie talked about how she co-founded the Anti-Slavery Collective with the goal of addressing the issues of modern slavery. At the same time, she was working with the Teenage Cancer Trust and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. Of her workload, she said, “There are meltdowns. But we have very understanding bosses.”
In fact, Eugenie has been a hard worker from the start. She graduated from Newcastle University then moved to New York to work for an online auction firm.
From there she went to work at the art gallery Hauser & Wirth. She was an associate director and was promoted to director in 2017. Apparently the job also allowed her to be closer to her now-husband Jack Brooksbank. At the time she told Harper’s Bazaar, “I knew I definitely wouldn’t be a painter, but I knew this was the industry for me. I love being able to share my passion for art with people.”

She said, “At the moment I’m picking up the mantle of anti-plastics, so I work with Project Zero which has just partnered with Sky Ocean Rescue.

Together, they’re trying to end single-use plastic. My whole house is anti-plastic now. Jack and I want our wedding to be like that as well – we’ve got to look after this planet.”
