Princess Kate Making Good Progress At Home Following Abdominal Surgery

British royal family news reveals that Kensington Palace has announced that Princess Kate was discharged from The London Clinic on Monday to recover from abdominal surgery at her Windsor home. She entered the hospital earlier this month and is now home after almost two weeks of care.

The Kensington Palace statement read: “The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress. The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided. The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”

On Jan. 17 Kensington Palace announced that Kate, a mother of three, underwent a “successful” abdominal surgery on Jan. 16.

There has been no reason given for the surgery, but People reported it was due to a non-cancerous condition.

At that time the palace indicated that the future queen would “remain in the hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home … unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”

True to form, the palace still has not explained what procedure Kate underwent.

Royal News – Princess Kate Discharged From Hospital

The original statement added “The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.”

“Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share. The Princess of Wales wishes to apologize to all those concerned for the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements. She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible.”

Royal Family News – Good News For Princess Kate

Kate was visited by King Charles on Friday after he was admitted to the London Clinic for prostate surgery.

Afterward his wife Queen Camilla told well-wishers waiting outside of the facility that the monarch is well and recovering.

Still, royal fans were taken aback when his scheduled two-day stay at the clinic was extended by another 24 hours.

Meanwhile Prince William, who also visited Kate in the hospital, has postponed public duties in order to assist with Kate’s recovery and take care of their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
