For a very long time, she was basically public enemy number one, since so many people saw her as the third wheel that cut into then-Prince Charles’ marriage with Princess Diana.
In fact, the reality of her public image was so bad, her step-son Prince Harry claimed in his memoir, ‘Spare,’ that she would feed the media private details about him in exchange for some good press coverage.
Whether this is true or not, we don’t know, since the Royal Family decided to go the “never complain, never explain” route for the allegations in ‘Spare.’
However, a source is telling us that Camilla feels like she’s finally at the point where her image has vastly improved, enough to probably even rival that of the Princess of Wales.
Queen Camilla Was Reportedly Thrilled With Her Reception In America
Prior to America celebrating their milestone Independence Day this year, King Charles and Queen Camilla visited the famous North American country.

There, they were received by President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump, who they themselves had previously received in the UK just a year prior.
According to a source speaking to RadarOnline, Queen Camilla was most pleased with the kind reception she received. The source claimed that the experience made her believe in all the hard work she put into rebuilding her public image, and that her efforts were not in vain.
“For a long time, she has been acutely aware that Kate attracts a level of excitement and affection that can overshadow almost everyone else in the family. But the reception Camilla received in the US has changed her outlook considerably,” the source revealed.
They added: “She felt people were genuinely interested in her, rather than simply viewing her as the King’s wife, and she saw firsthand that she could generate headlines and goodwill in her own right. After years of worrying that she could never compete with Kate’s popularity, Camilla now believes she has established her own place in the public’s affections and effectively won her popularity battle with Kate.”
“She has come away feeling that the enormous gap she once perceived between them has narrowed dramatically – and, privately, there’s a sense that she finally feels she’s won that particular fight.”
