Queen Elizabeth Royal News: Still Working, Still Going Strong

According to the Daily Express, Queen Elizabeth doesn’t wake up and greet her husband every morning like most couples do. Instead, it’s being reported that she has only seen Prince Phillip a handful of times this year. The leader of the British monarchy lives on the other side of the country from her husband, who retired from public duty back in 2017.

One of the reasons why Queen Elizabeth perhaps doesn’t have that much time for her husband these days is because she is still an active member of the British monarchy. At age 93, she is still attending royal engagements and public appearances and from what fans can tell, she has now desire to stop or slow down anytime soon.

Because her schedule takes her to different places each week, Queen Elizabeth is forced to split her time between London and Windsor. Oftentimes she is at Buckingham Palace during the week and Windsor Castle during the weekends. Prince Philip, meanwhile, calls a farmhouse that is in a secluded corner of Sandringham Estate home these days.

As many royal fans already know, Princess Elizabeth married Philip Mountbatten back in 1947 at Westminster Abbey. While they have always remained by each other’s sides throughout the years, there’s no doubt that the royal couple have faced the same kind of challenges that many regular married couples do on a daily basis.
