Apparently, it had to do with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to pull the plug on their working relationship with the royal family back in 2020 and of course, move to America while leaving their life in the UK permanently behind.

For Queen Elizabeth, the move had to stung. But at the same time, the former Queen of England, who passed away back in 2022, knew that nothing would come out of the move.

That’s probably why she told her staffers behind closed doors that the only thing that Prince Harry was going to do in America was going to be his son Archie’s personal caretaker. Ouch.

It’s no wonder Meghan felt offended by the comment, because one of the reasons why she wanted to leave the royal family was so she and Harry could become financially independent royals.

But Queen Elizabeth knew before it would even happen that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s lives wouldn’t be the same in America as it was in the UK and that’s why she made the comment that she made.

Meghan Markle Felt Hurt Over The Comments

Clearly, she knew that Prince Harry would end up being nothing more than a stay at home dad. And for Meghan, that had to have hurt in more ways than one. She might have even gone into a nasty rage over it.

So far Meghan Markle has not made any comments about the matter, but at the same time it’s doubtful that anything will be said at this point.

Because if there’s anything that we’ve learned about the Duchess of Sussex and how she operates over the years, it’s that while she does enjoy the attention, she doesn’t want it to destroy her mental health, either.

That’s why she’s willing to pull back when the time is right. She might not have liked Queen Elizabeth’s comments about her husband and son at all, but thankfully it’s all now buried in the past. Or at least, that’s what everyone is hoping for.
