Many publications all over the U.K. are suggesting that Prince Harry is intentionally snubbing Prince William on his birthday. Exactly why is that, some might ask. The answer is that Prince William’s birthday is June 21. William was born in 1982 and this year he turned 38 years old. However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t send Prince William any sort of official, public birthday greetings as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The part that everyone is missing, of course (intentionally on the part of publications) is the fact that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are actually prohibited from using their old social media and website accounts that bear the word “Royal” on them. All media, in fact, that bears the “Royal” brand is taboo for Harry and Meghan for the time being.
For those who don’t know, Prince Harry and Meghan agreed to stop using this branding as part of the terms “Megxit.” When the couple stepped down from their positions as senior members of the British Royal family, Queen Elizabeth insisted that if they were intent on going out on their own … they would not take the majority of their royal titles or perks with them when they went.
Therefore, no official royal birthday wishes from Prince Harry and Meghan to Prince William. Of course, it’s stuff and nonsense to believe that Prince Harry and Meghan chose not to wish Prince William a happy birthday at all. Instead of doing something public and with a lot of fanfare, it’s quite likely that Prince Harry and his little family in Los Angeles chose to just give William a private Zoom call. Many fans of William and Harry might agree that’s a pretty normal thing to do (and the most convenient) for brothers who are separated by the Atlantic ocean!
Moreover, according to sources close to both Prince William and Prince Harry, the two have been getting on quite nicely over the past few months. In fact, Prince William reportedly has frequent calls with his younger brother. Staying in touch and maintaining family ties appears to be something incredibly important to the Duke of Cambridge. Indeed, it seems obvious that these private calls between William and Harry are just as meaningful to Prince Harry.
Fans of Prince William might agree that a call from Harry is plenty, considering the fact that William and his family are spent his birthday at Anmer Hall in lockdown. With Coronavirus fears still in the air, William and Kate chose not to head out to celebrate any place special. Instead, Prince William chose to play with his children on the grounds of his estate and have family photos taken.

The same holds true for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who are stuck in Los Angeles and who cannot fly back to the U.K. for the time being.
Many fans of Prince William and Prince Harry will agree that under these circumstances, there was no “snub” and no bad blood between Harry and his brother.
