Did Prince Harry Fail To Fulfill Queen Elizabeth’s Expectations?

At 95, Queen Elizabeth has become increasingly frail. As a result, most of her closest royal relatives have sought to do all they can to show their support. But sadly, some royal family experts believe Prince Harry has failed to live up to her expectations.

And one particular failure has caused a new round of criticism for the Duke of Sussex, reports Marie Claire. Royal family observers believe that Prince Harry should have done more to introduce the Queen to his first daughter, Lilibet. The Duke of Sussex and Duchess of Sussex welcomed baby Lilibet into the world in June. But now, at 5 months old, the couple’s second child has met none of her U.K. royal relatives.

Named after Prince Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, and the Queen herself, Lilibet has become an example of broken traditions in the royal family. And while the COVID-19 pandemic did cause travel limitations, some royal experts believe Harry should have done more to introduce his daughter to his royal grandmother.

Prince Harry Feels ‘Guilt’ – Here’s Why!

As coronavirus vaccinations result in ending lock-downs and expanding travel, Prince Harry has come under fire for not introducing his daughter to her royal great-grandmother. Royal protocol calls for the Queen to meet new members of the family in person. As a result, some experts claim that Harry now has “no excuse” for delaying the meeting between the Queen and his daughter.

But the Duke of Sussex hasn’t completely escaped that duty. Insiders quote Harry as feeling guilty and in “panic mode” about his grandmother’s recent health problems. For instance, Queen Elizabeth recently had to cancel a planned visit to Northern Ireland and an appearance at a conference.

One source even revealed that Prince Harry still “feels guilty about not saying goodbye” in person to Prince Philip, who died in April at age 99. The Duke of Sussex will “never forgive himself if the same thing happened with his beloved grandmother,” added the insider.

Will Christmas Change Everything?

In predicting what could happen, some royal family experts think that Christmas could offer a new opportunity for Prince Harry to make amends to the Queen. One insider revealed that both Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle hope to head to the U.K. for Christmas. And of course the couple would take both their children, baby Lilibet and their son Archie.

Such a visit would give the queen the opportunity to “finally get to meet [her great granddaughter] Lilibet and see [great grandson] Archie again,” added the source. At this point, Queen Elizabeth has not seen Archie since he was 9 months old. And she’s never experienced the opportunity to cuddle baby Lilibet.
