Prince Charles was born at 9:14pm on November 14, 1948, making him a Scorpio—watch that stinger! Prince Charles was crowned the Prince of Wales when he was just nine years old. His investiture service took place years later at Caernarvon Castle in Wales by which time he had learned to speak Welsh.
Royal Family News – Prince Charles Is A Pilot
Prince Charles is a licensed jet and helicopter pilot and made history in 1971 when he became the first member of the Royal Family to obtain RAF wings as Flight Lieutenant Wales. He had a career in the Royal Navy just as his father, grandfather and great grandfathers before him. He quit piloting in 1994, after a runway mishap that saw him crash a plane into a bog in Scotland.

Prince Charles is a master of, “the sport of kings,” aka polo. Charles was 15 when his father Prince Philip gave him his first polo mallet and in turn he has passed along his polo skills to sons Prince William and Prince Harry. This year Harry whined that his father passed on “genetic suffering,” and we’re here to remind him of fact. Fact: Harry the hypocritical ecowarrior flew in a private jet to and from Colorado this year to play polo.

Prince Charles is a man of many talents, and he is musically inclined. He plays piano, trumpet and cello. While an undergraduate at Cambridge University he was chosen to play the instrument in the Trinity College Orchestra.

Music is not all Charles got up to while in college. He was also a devoted theater student. At Cambridge University Prince Charles was a member of Footlights comedy group. Other Footlights alum include Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry and Emma Thompson.
