Royal Family News: Are Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Anxious To Leave The UK?

British royal family news shows that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have been in the most unlikely of places for weeks, the UK. In the past Harry has expressed his anxiety over being in the country and Meghan has not been back for two years.

The couple who abandoned the monarchy in 2020 came to town recently for a three-event mini tour, leaving their children behind in the US. Sadly, while they were here Harry’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth died on September 8.

Her funeral took place September 19 and the service was open to 2,000 mourners, thousands lined the streets outside and millions watched the event on tv.

Royal Family News – Harry and Meghan Back To The States

All eyes were on the couple who made no secret of their animosity toward the royal family and the monarchy. Meghan was infamously photographed dabbing at a single tear and Harry was in his place out of uniform.

Now, a source close to the family shared that, “Harry and Meghan are eager to leave the United Kingdom and return to life in California.”

InTouch Weekly reports that, “Meghan and Harry won’t stick around after the queen’s funeral and plan to return to California. Obviously, they were unprepared to remain in the U.K. for this long. It’s been an emotional and heartbreaking week — but, naturally, they’re looking forward to getting back to Lilibet and Archie. This is the longest amount of time they’ve ever been apart from their kids in one go.”

By pure coincidence the couple were in the U.K. but reportedly snubbed offers from both then-Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth to visit and stay with them. Is Harry ruing his decision now? When he was told of the monarch’s health downturn he was not able to reach her for a final goodbye.

Prince Harry and his family have been at odds after he and wife Meghan Markle aired royal linen to Oprah Winfrey while the queen’s husband, Prince Philip, was on his death bed in March 2021.

The outlet reports that the sordid couple ranted about, “a whole array of other grievances.”

Royal Family News – Where Are the Markle’s?

The outlet reports that, “Once out of camera range, William and Harry reportedly began arguing at Prince Philip’s funeral.” Will they be able to turn the corner and now mend fences having lost both of their paternal grandparents? There are reports that King Charles is attempting to heal the fractured family, but only time will tell if all parties wish to be on the same page.
