Apparently, both King Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla are no fans of Buckingham Palace. Before Queen Elizabeth’s death, they both lived at Clarence House for many long years but have since moved to Windsor Castle. And from the looks of it, they have no plans to return to London anytime soon. Here’s what you need to know.

One source close to the situation says that many other members of the royal family feel the same way about Buckingham Palace, which was Queen Elizabeth’s home before the pandemic.

That’s because for a lot of people, including Charles and Camilla, it feels like they live right above the office at the palace. And who wants to live so close to the place that they work, right?

The insider said, “The King likes his homes to be well ventilated anyway, but the Queen feels the cold, and friends of the couple say it is no secret that Her Majesty is even less keen on a move to Buckingham Palace than her husband.

So, does this mean that Charles and Camilla are going to be spending more time away from London, seeing how they don’t want to call Buckingham Palace home? Maybe.

While there is certainly nothing wrong with living at Windsor Castle, it is a bit of a longer commute for those dignitaries who travel to the UK wanting to meet the royals.
