Royal Family News: Camilla Parker Bowles On Cover Of Country Life, Photographed By Kate Middleton

British royal family news shows that Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall marks a milestone birthday next Sunday, and for this she was gifted with the opportunity to manage a souvenir edition of Country Life magazine. Prince Charles, Camilla’s second husband, has done so twice, and one of those times marked the mag’s all-time biggest-selling issue—Camilla has big shoes to fill!

Camilla Parker Bowles will be the mag’s July 13 issue cover girl as well as serving as its guest editor to mark her 75th birthday and the magazine’s 125th anniversary.

Making the edition even more special, the cover was shot was taken by Camilla’s DIL Kate Middleton the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate is a renowned amateur photographer and the session revels the depth of affection the women have for each other.

According to Managing and Features Editor Paula Lester, Kate, “was incredibly professional about the task at hand … phoned me to discuss our requirements for the cover and subsequently composed a range of beautifully shot images.” The pics were taken in the garden of Camilla’s country home in Wiltshire, England.

Hedges said that Kate’s photos were so good, “we would be delighted to offer the Duchess of Cambridge another commission.”

The magazine venture, “quietly signals the increasing confidence Camilla feels in her royal position and her growing sense of duty as she prepares for her Queen Consort role.”

According to CNN, “To see the next two Queens Consort working together will be heartwarming to royal fans. It’s also a big gesture from the both of them and shows a harmony and hidden strength at the heart of a monarchy that has been rocked in recent years.”

Royal Family News: Kate and Camilla Stand Tall

Kate and Camilla are in rare air together, the only two women in the UK who are destined, “to be at the right hand of a future King,” as queen consort.

Camilla is also coming into her own as she approaches her 75th birthday. Once vilified by the public as a home wreaker she must now be accepted after Queen Elizabeth decreed in February that Camilla will be given the title queen consort. Furthermore, a documentary crew filmed her as she undertook her magazine task, and they will get to see her behind in the scenes in ways they never have before.
