British royal family news reveals that Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, is sharing her experiences with Covid-19 and it sounds as if she could be in for a lengthy battle after testing positive last month. Camilla spoke about her illness yesterday while at Clarence House for an International Women’s Day event.
Prince Charles’ wife shared that she is still fighting off multiple symptoms of the illness she was diagnosed with three weeks ago.
Royal Family News – Camilla Has Long Covid?
Camilla told her guests, “It’s taken three weeks and still can’t get shot of it. Probably my voice might suddenly go and I might start coughing and spluttering.” Camilla managed to get through the event, where she met Emerald Fennell the actress who portrayed her in royal drama The Crown, with aplomb.
The Netflix show is reportedly not the royal family’s favorite tv fare but, “the duchess seemed delighted to meet her television double,” according to the Daily Mail.
“Fennell, 36, admitted she was nervous about meeting the royal, but was quick to compliment Camilla on her ‘grace and good humor’ throughout her time in the public eye.”
Is Camilla Parker Bowles A Good Sport?
According to The Telegraph, “Camilla took the meeting in good spirits too, joking that it was ‘reassuring to know that, if I should fall off my perch at any moment, my fictional alter ego is here to take over.”
The actress said of meeting Camilla, “It was absolutely delightful. She is such an impressive person, it was fittingly nice to meet her today on International Women’s Day because she does so much for so many particularly female-centered charities. I was nervous I might be thrown in the tower but so far so good.”

Royal Family News – Camilla Met Her Television Alter Ego
Fennell added about the real-life woman she portrays on screen, “She’s been in the spotlight for a long time and has always weathered it with a lot of grace and good humor.”
But when she was asked about the details of her conversation with the duchess, she remained circumspect saying, “You know what – I’m going to be very discreet, because if I’ve learnt anything it’s “loose lips sink ships.’” Meanwhile, Camilla received excellent news last month when it was announced she would be titled queen consort when the time comes.
