Royal Family News: Danish Prince Nikolai Defended By Mom, “No Good Reason” For Stripping of His Title

Royal family news reveals that the Danish brothers formerly known as Prince are lashing out at their grandmother’s decision to take their titles away. This morning their father Prince Joachim, the youngest of Queen Margrethe’s two sons, said his children Nikolai and Felix had been “harmed” by the stripping.

Now the male models themselves are speaking out on the injustice.

All of Joachim’s five children will have prince and princess removed from their titles, and can no longer use His or Her Royal Highness.

Prince Nikolai, 23, said he is, “sad, shocked and confused after his grandmother Queen Margrethe stripped him and his siblings of their titles ‘for their own good’ as his mother ‘says there’s no good reason’ for the move,” according to the Daily Mail.

“My whole family and I are of course very sad. We are, as my parents have also stated, in shock at this decision and at how quickly it has actually gone,’ Nikolai told Danish newspaper Extrabladet.

But, after Prince Joachim claimed this morning that his children were only given five days’ notice that they would be stripped of their titles by their grandmother, the Danish royal household hit back.

The palace said there are a, “lot of emotions,” but that the decision was designed to, “future-proof,” the monarchy. Which may be an insult to the kids, it’s hard to tell.

Joachim said, “We are all very sad. It’s never fun to see your children being harmed. They are been put in a situation they do not understand.”

Joachim is sixth-in-line to the throne behind his brother and his children. he spoke today outside the Danish Embassy in Paris. He lives in France with his second wife Marie and their children Henrik and Athena.
