British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are at it again, trying to portray themselves as simple folk just like the rest of the world, taking the trials and tribulations of life one day at a time. Does anyone really believe that?

Yet the narrative keeps getting spun for those on the other end of the message, e.g., the rest of the world.

A “source” has made it a point to tell ET, “The couple will be spending Christmas at home in California quietly with Archie and Doria [Ragland] joining them. Meghan, who is an accomplished cook, will be preparing some of their favorite dishes with Harry and Doria pitching in.”

This is a dramatically different version of events the public has been treated to over the past few days. It was just announced that they have signed a super rich deal with Spotify to broadcast their “vision,” which rivals their lucrative Netflix deal.

On top of all that, it was announced that Meghan is endorsing some sort of coffee bean company which led Oprah to rush online and tell her fans to buy it ASAP. The result? Marketers claim that Oprah netted Meghan a cool $500,000 with a simple plug that took no more than a gushing utterance.

So how will these the couple, who demand everyone call them Duke and Duchess of Sussex, really be spending the holiday?

It is their first Christmas since flinging off their royal duties (but not their royal titles) and moving themselves into a huge mega mansion in Montecito, California.

Last month, ET reported that the “Duke and Duchess of Sussex” had zero plans to, “be in the U.K. for Christmas.”

A source also told ET that members of the royal family are “disappointed” that they won’t be seeing baby Archie this holiday season.

So when will they bother to cross the pond? It seems that a lawsuit is more important than family as it is expected that Meghan and Harry could return to the United Kingdom for Meghan’s case against Associated Newspapers and the Mail on Sunday

“Things can obviously change, if there’s a concern about family health, but they are not hopping over the pond anytime imminently,” the source said, adding that the royals are adhering to “social isolation guidelines” amid the coronavirus pandemic.
