British royal family news shows that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released their family Christmas card yesterday, once all the real royals had debuted theirs. Was it a case of last but not least? Not really. It was vintage Harry and Meghan: vapid, varnished and empty. The picture depicting all four family members, none of them deigning to look at the camera and thus at you and me, perfectly resembles a department store ad for denim: the family that jeans together stays together. Why bother?
The only reason I can think of was that it gave condescending Harry and Meghan an excuse to boast about their woke selves by informing us that they donated money to charities on our behalf. Yes they did. They went there. But they can’t be bothered to actually look at their audience, silhouettes and Harry’s pervasive unwashed feet are the limit of their consent.
Royal Family News – The Markle Card Is Unremarkable
Kate Garraway was one of many who questioned the lame holiday greeting. Unlike Harry and Meghan, she appears in the Kate Middleton-hosted tv special, Royal Carols: Together At Christmas. Garraway talked about the GAP ad, erm, Markle Christmas card on Good Morning Britain today, and wondered why the couple bothered.
Her co-host Richard Bacon, “They released their card half an hour before Buckingham Palace and the Queen did.” Kate replied, “So is there a suggestion, Richard, that they kind of did that to in some way usurp the Queen?”

“It sounds ridiculous to me but that is obviously the suggestion,” he said. “I think when you live on the west coast over there [in America], you’re just the tiny bit not sure what time it is over here.”
Kate ITV News Royal Editor Chris Ship for his thoughts on the card saying, “Is that what you think?”
He said, “It had to be released at some point, The Queen’s picture was released at 10:30pm and that Harry and Meghan photo dropped into my inbox at around 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon. I don’t agree that it was done to usurp the Queen, no.”

Then political commentator Iain Dale, said, “I think it’s a lovely picture, why do people have to over analyze these things? I doubt they would know when Buckingham Palace would release the other one.”

Nothing Harry & Megan do surprises us any more. Diana would be so disappointed with them. I really don't care since they are not considered "Royals" now.

The rest of the world wonders why you Brits are so fixated on the couple? Like a bloke who can't stop talking about and stalking the woman who left him for a more peaceful life.

A stunt
I think this was one of the most intentionally slanted articles I've read in some time. In the first paragraph it was obvious that the author had an attitude about the couple. Please put something like this with a big label of OPINION.
It also shows what low opinion of the Queen the author has, to think that the Christmas photo released by a couple of minor celebrities would "show her up". As though she is worried about such nonsense.
