British royal family news reveals that Prince Charles and his wife Duchess Camilla have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, following the vaccinations of his parents Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
On January 9, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson confirmed that Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh were inoculated by a family physician at Windsor Castle.
Normally medical matters are not disclosed when t comes to the royal family. But due to the heightened speculation, and fears of the vaccination in general, the palace decided to publicize the news. Although both couples have received their first dose, the palace has said it will not reveal when the couples take their second dose.

Naturally the public is wondering if Prince Charles and Camila Parker Bowles have had any COVID-19 vaccine side effects. No news of that nature has been reported and overall sides effects in the general population have been relatively few and minor.
The UK is encouraging those over age 70 year to be vaccinated with the goal of having 15 million people inoculated during the first phase of its vaccine roll-out. According to official reports, as of February 8 over 12 million people had received their first dose and over 500,000 have received their second.

In March 2020 the Prince of Wales tested positive for COVID-19 so he especially likely views the vaccine as a tremendous positive. He recovered in isolation at the Balmoral estate in Scotland. In July, Charles talked about losing his sense of taste and smell and about the lingering after effects of the virus.
It was reported that Prince William was diagnosed around the same time as his father, Charles. Yet there was no official word on this, rather the news came from a source who claimed that William told him at a royal event.

Royal Family News – Prince Charles & Camila Parker Bowles Have Had COVID-19 Vaccines
Charles and Camilla are not the only royals to go public with news of their vaccinations. Queen Margrethe of Denmark was the first European royal to state that she received the shot. According to a statement released from Kongehuset, the 80-year-old royal was inoculated on New Year’s Day.
Additionally King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden received their first shot on January 15.
