Royal Family News: Kate Middleton Critical To The Queen’s Health Following Hospitalization

British royal family news shows that Kate Middleton will one day be queen consort alongside her husband William when he becomes king. As such she has a critical role in the monarchy, both behind the scenes and as its representative. She also has a personal stake in the monarchy which is comprised of her in-laws.

This week Queen Elizabeth fell ill and required a brief hospitalization. Kate the Duchess of Cambridge, “was reportedly very concerned about the monarch’s health and has made special efforts to make her feel looked after during her time recovering,” according to My London.

How did Kate reach out to the monarch? “Kate sent the queen a huge bouquet of flowers from her family,” an insider told Us Weekly. “George, Charlotte and Louis made ‘get well soon’ cards.”

The source also spilled that Kate and the Queen have been, “talking more than ever since [the] health scare.”

The source noted that Kate, “has a special bond with the Queen,” and had spoken to her often in, “one-on-one phone conversations.” No doubt the thoughtfulness Kate has displayed has brightened the queen’s days, knowing that there is someone behind the scenes that she can rely on when times get tough.

Royal Family News – The Queen Was Ill

The Queen is now at Windsor Castle and allowed to undertake “light duties.” This includes deskwork, but for the next two weeks at least her doctors forbid her to do in-person events.

The insider said, “The Queen says she’s fine and doing well, but she’s said that before, so naturally [the family is] concerned. “They’d been urging her to take it easy for months.”

At the same time another insider has stepped forward to say that William and Kate are committed to helping the Queen with her duties, “If there is any way they can support Her Majesty on her engagements, they will. They are both keen to provide any support they can.”

The official announcement from Buckingham Palace concerning this matter addresses her absence from public duties and reads in part: “Her Majesty has regretfully decided that she will no longer travel to Glasgow to attend the evening reception of COP26 on Monday, November 1.”
