Royal Family News: Kate Middleton Flexing Her “Power”

British royal family news shows that Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, has rung in the New Year with a tour de force wardrobe fit for a future Queen. Kate Middleton seems completely unbothered by the tumult caused by her BIL Prince Harry’s trashy memoir, Spare, which dropped last month.

Kate was among the targets Dirty Harry trashed, printing some of her private emails to his wife Meghan Markle. And yet she has not commented on the base reporting, instead she has let her power dressing do the talking and fashionistas have taken note.

The Daily Telegraph’s fashion director Bethan Holt told People that Kate is having nothing less than a, “power moment.” She stated, “She’s easing into the Princess of Wales role and that promotion that she’s had in such a beautiful way. She’s got this big new title, and she’s dressing for that job.”

Kate hosted a televised Christmas concert last year and she arrived in a glorious shade of burgundy, a tone worn by several other royal females. Some royal fans saw this as a direct hit back at Harry and Meghan, the latter of which claimed she was not allowed to wear bright colors during her failed stint as a princess.

Meghan also croaked that royal women are forbidden to dress in similar colors, so the proud display of vibrant and matching winter coats could have been a loud clapback against Meghan’s claptrap. Holt described Kate’s monochromatic Alexander McQueen red pantsuit, which she wore to an event for the launch of her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, as a, “spicy experimentation,” with, “a slight Studio 54 vibe to it.”

The fashion expert thinks that Kate will continue her fashion game as she embarks on a, “new era in her royal life,” pointing to the neon green dress Kate wore in December when she and Prince William were in Boston for the Earthshot Prize ceremony. Kate has some large stilettos to fill, as her late mother-in-law Princess Diana was a style icon in her own time.
