Royal Family News: Kate Middleton Forbids Her Children To Be Referred To By This Common Word

British royal family news reveals that parents of young children need to be super careful about the language their delicate ears hear. The royals are known for complying with tons of fussy protocols and apparently the language that is used around kids is subject to one such rule. Did you know that Kate Middleton has agreed with her nanny to not use a certain word in front of her three offspring with Prince William?

Which word do you think is off limits for the royal prodigies?

Royal Family News – Maria Borrallo Is A Super Nanny

Maria Borrallo is the lucky nanny who gets to have a hand in shaping the next generation of royals. She is the nanny for Kate and William’s kids and she trained at world famous Norland College. The family hired her when their first child George, was just a few months old.

Apparently Norland College students are forbidden to say the word “kids.” According to author Louise Heren, who spent time researching the college, nanny students must never utter the word, kids. What’s wrong with that four letter word?

What Word If Forbidden To Be Used With The Cambridge Children?

Author Hern told the Mirror, “The word kid is banned. It’s a mark of respect for the children as individuals.”

Ok, fair enough, but aren’t they still kids? Can’t they be individual kids? They’re not horses after all.

Heren went on to say that the Cambridge kids, erm, little individuals, lead very normal lives given their opulent upbringing. “Given what we have seen of Catherine when she is out in public, she’s very hands on. I imagine her relationship with Maria is very close and they collaborate greatly on the care of the children,” she noted.

“I’ve spoken to nannies who have worked with other royal families and life is pretty normal,” she added.

Royal Family News: Why Can’t the Royal Children Be Called Kids?

They do seem normal, except for the fact that they can’t be called kids. Do you think the word kiddos is also banned? It seems a bit much but all in all the royals are not like you and me. They don’t wash dishes, they don’t mow the lawn, and they don’t go grocery shopping. Maybe the fact that they don’t call their kids, kids, is just one more example of how out of touch the monarchy is. Just ask Prince Harry.
