Royal Family News: Kate Middleton Paying “The Price” For Megxit

British royal family news reveals that Kate Middleton was by all accounts like a sibling to Prince Harry after she married his older brother William. Harry himself said as much, saying that she was the sister he never had. He sure has a funny way of showing his affection.

Now speculation has it that Kate is the one who will be paying the price for the unceremonious exit of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the monarchy. In the New Zealand Herald royal watcher Daniela Elser estimates that it is Princess Kate who will be most affected by their defection.

According to her, “The loss of the Sussexes from the royal fold dealt the Royal Family not only a serious reputational blow but a hands-on one too.” When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the fold, they also left behind numerous charities, military, and royal patronages. All of these represent roles that need to be filled, and in addition disgraced Prince Andrew also left many roles to be filled.

The result is that there are now fewer people to fill an increased number of jobs.

Elser went on to note that Prince William and Kate Middleton are the only working members of the under the age of 50. As such, the parents of three will be tasked with taking on the majority of assignments and royal engagements.

She called Megxit, “The convulsive exit of two star players,” and along with their numerous accusations it means the royal stakes are higher than ever.

Elser thinks, “And there is one person in particular who will end up paying the price for much of this tumult and change: Kate, the now Princess of Wales.”

Ironically, news indicates that Kate is not currently on good terms with Prince Harry despite them being thick as thieves at one time. The rift is said to be increased by this month’s drop of a Netflix docuseries. Titled Harry & Meghan, the reality show featuring Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle did a bang up job of casting Kate in a dim light.

Royal Family News – Kate Middleton Paying The Price?

How will her husband and future UK king William react to Harry’s disrespect? US Weekly reports that he, “isn’t planning to give his side of the story or openly retaliate. He’s remaining dignified and is getting on with the job. Kate feels hurt and betrayed that Harry would do this to her too, especially as the pair used to be so close.” Let’s hope that the New Year brings with it royal reconciliation for everyone’s sake.
