British royal family news reveals that Prince Andrew has been told he will never return to his once gilded royal role, and the news was devastating. According to The Mail on Sunday his brother King Charles delivered the stunning blow just days before their mother Queen Elizabeth died on September 8.
An insider spilled that the tense meeting was highly emotional and Andrew’s state of mind since then has his friends worried. Andrew was allegedly “blindsided” by the private meeting and is now in shock, and, “completely lost and very depressed.”
Royal Family News – Andrew Was Blindsided
The outlet reports that Andrew and Charles were alone when the news was conveyed. Up until this point Andrew reportedly held the belief that he had a role to play despite his association with convicted sex traffickers Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. In February he agreed to an out of court settlement with one of the pair’s victims, who claimed Andrew sexually abused her when she was a minor. He denied the accusation.
Royal Family News – Andrew Has No Way Back
“He is utterly bereft. He always believed there was a way back,” said the insider. Today is the nation’s Remembrance Day service at The Cenotaph and Andrew will not be present.
The source added, “Naive as it may sound, he always had hopes of regaining his position as a senior Royal. At the meeting, Charles told him that he can go off and have a good life, a nice life, but that his public life as a Royal is at an end. He was told, ‘You have to accept this.’”
Royal Family News – Andrew Must Accept His Fate
Andrew’s fall from grace was punctuated in January with the stripping of his military affiliations and Royal patronages. It came after his try to throw out a civil lawsuit brought by Epstein’s former ‘sex slave’ Virginia Giuffre, was unsuccessful.
“The Duke vehemently denied her claims but, at the time, Buckingham Palace had said that the decision to strip Andrew of his titles was made by the late Queen. He also lost his right to be addressed as ‘His Royal Highness’ in an official capacity.”
It was subsequently reported that Andrew gave the plaintiff, “a reported £12 million without accepting liability, and had believed this would allow him to return to Royal duties.” Some of the money was reportedly given to Andrew by Queen Elizabeth.
