Royal Family News: Lady Susan Hussey Still Not Back To Her Old Position

British royal family news divulges that accused racist Lady Susan Hussey was seen in public on Sunday chatting with members of the royal family for the first time since leaving her palace position after being called a racist.

Her resignation came after activist Ngozi Fulani described not feeling comfortable when Hussey asked her where she was from at a Buckingham Palace reception last year.

Royal Family News – Lady Hussey With The Royals

Hussey spent decades in service as a lady-in-waiting to the late Queen Elizabeth. On Sunday she was seen walking to and from church service at St. Mary Magdalene in Sandringham. King Charles and his sister Princess Anne were also present.

The royal routinely attend the church service when they are at Sandringham, which was the late Queen’s country retreat in Norfolk. But, while Hussey, who is Prince William’s godmother, was welcomed at church, she still has not been given her old position back.

The controversial incident that led to Hussey leaving her Lady of the Household position happened in November 2022. At that time, activist Ngozi Fulani accused her of asking racial questions, according to the Daily Mail. The event was held as Buckingham Palace as a way of shining a light on ways to combate violence against women.

The event was hosted by Charles and his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, and Fulani was there as a representative of Sistah Space which is a support group for abused African and Caribbean women.

Royal Family News – Lady Hussey Seen At Church

When the activist went public with her accusations, Hussey was caught in the crosshairs and left her position. However the two women later met and it was announced that Hussey apologized to Fulani.

Afterward a statement was released which read: “Both Ms Fulani and Lady Susan ask now that they be left in peace to rebuild their lives in the wake of an immensely distressing period for them both. They hope that their example shows a path to resolution can be found with kindness, co-operation and the condemnation of discrimination wherever it takes root.” King Charles and Queen Camilla were said to be, “pleased that both parties have reached this welcome outcome.”

Addititionally the palace stated that the royals are continuing to, ” focus on inclusion and diversity, with an enhanced programme of work which will extend knowledge and training programmes, examining what can be learnt from Sistah Space, and ensuring these reach all members of their communities.”
