Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Accused Of “Ripping Off” A Children’s Book With Similar Title

British royal family news reveals there’s no such thing as bad publicity but in the case of Meghan Markle, charges that she ripped off another writer for her children’s book may prove the exception.

Meghan Thee Duchess stands accused of fashioning her kid’s book, The Bench, on a kid’s book titled The Boy and The Bench—both of which deal with the bond between a father and his son. Could it be that Meghan was “influenced” by someone else’s work, and entangled in another loose interpretation of the truth? Impossible. Not.

After all, she is the one who told the whopper about the archbishop marrying her and Harry in secret, a claim he disavowed as strongly as a vegan shuns bovine.

Royal Family News – The Bench Is Very Similar To The Boy And The Bench

Corrinne Averiss wrote The Boy and The Bench long before Meghan claimed to write The Bench.

In an announcement yesterday Meghan said her book will debut on June 8 via Random House. she nattered on that the tome was inspired by a poem she wrote for her husband Prince Harry in regard to their son Archie.

Royal experts quickly pointed to similarities between the two books, the first of which was released in 2018.

Both books have colorful illustrations and a story about the bond between a father and son.

One debunker tweeted: “I hope the author she ripped off is going to sue her, the cheek of this woman! The Boy on the Bench by Corrinne Averiss.”

Royal Family News – Did Meghan Markle Write A Kid’s Book?

Author Corrinne replied to the bruhaha by saying, “Reading the description and published an excerpt of the Duchess’s new book, this is not the same story or the same theme as The Boy on the Bench. I don’t see any similarities apart from the use of a bench – which exist in as many stories as they do parks and gardens.”

This shade arrives in the wake of Vanity Fair’s Katie Nicholl saying that an insider spilled that Meghan plans to “write” more books in the future. “She wanted to have a go at writing a children’s book first and depending on the success of this, there will be more. She is also keen to write books for adults too.”

Many commentators, including Piers Morgan, were quick to note the irony of Meghan “writing” a book about fathers and sons given her trashing of her father and FIL.

Word to the wise: a wolf in sheep’s clothing eventually howls.
