British royal family news reveals that it’s time to say happy one year anniversary to Megxit, the cacophonous announcement by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry concerning their displeasure with all things royal.
Meghan and Harry casually dropped on Instagram on January 8, 2020, that they were altering the course of history by ditching the palace for a life of financial excess. A review of Megxit’s terms is due at the end of March with Queen Elizabeth.
Royal Family News – Megxit Is One Year Old
Meghan and Harry did snag lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify but many claim their royal names are the allure, not any real talent on the part of Harry and Megs. Really, who are they anyway, apart from flaunting themselves as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex? He has never had a real job and she has ‘calligraphy letterer’ on her resume.
With coronavirus restrictions in place, will the Queen’s 12 month review of Megxit go ahead as planned? Some think the meet up will be virtual but at any rate, the outcome will be the same.
Royal Family News – Megxit Review Is Due In March
Nick Ede is a former PR guy who actually worked with Meghan in London before she landed Prince Charming. He recently told Sky News that Meghan and Harry are, “clutching at straws” in their attempts to establish themselves as Hollywood players. Yes, but are they ecologically friendly paper straws sir?
He said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as Meghan and Harry demand to be called, have a shallow personal brand and need to work a little harder to attain real success.

Ede said, “You look at celebrity in a big way, and a celebrity will do their autobiography, they will do their film deal. It’s basically that kind of blueprint, and they have done it all in a year, you know? They’re becoming a global entity. They’ve got the podcast, they’ve got the Netflix deal, they’ve had the warts-and-all autobiography.”
But he cautions that the Markle’s should back off, calling their multiple attempts to clutch at everything that passes in front of them as kind of desperate.
Ede explained, “I feel like Meghan and Harry at the moment are almost clutching at straws at what their brand is. Is it the politics, is it women’s rights?”
“You have to remember that two years ago Meghan was a Hollywood actress in a B-soap, and Harry was a member of the Royal Family, who do great things,” Ede noted. “But he’s not a political activist and she’s not a human rights activist.” Boom.
