British royal family news declares that Dior is never, ever partnering with Meghan Markle to be the face of their brand. Ever. After someone floated the rumor that she would be associated with the French fashion house, Dior shut it down with emphasis.

It remains to be seen who and what will ever partner with the toxic duchess, but celebrity fashion expert Miranda Holder thinks that a brand ambassadorship would be a smart move for Meghan.

The Dior rumor had curious timing, coinciding with news that Spotify cancelled the dirty duo, the duke and duchess of excess, Harry and Meghan. According to CheatSheet “Some even referred to Meghan as the ‘Duchess of Dior.’”

A Dior spokesperson called the hot air “unfounded. There have been no contract negotiations or recent contact with Markle.”

Holder said (via Newsweek) that the failed princess is “rebuilding both her life and career following such a traumatic few years with the royal family. She is branching out in new directions, chasing long lost dreams and making up for lost time.”

She went on to say that Meghan has a “high profile internationally.” Harry and Meghan do have to generate income and with Holder describing Meghan as a “fashion icon in her own right” maybe she would be the perfect fit for a fashion label.

Holder continued on to say that “Designers like Dior are always looking for new faces and exciting angles to lend a freshness and unpredictability to their brand offering. A woman of Meghan’s status and beauty, who spends so much time in the media spotlight, would be an absolute boon for them. Particularly with the Duchess’ ethics and values, which all feel very relevant.”

Harry made a splash at his father’s May 6 coronation when he showed up in Dior, being banned from wearing his military uniform. The brand bragged about their fashion coup on social media but encountered a swift backlash with some customers threatening to boycott the brand over their association with the traitor.
