Royal Family News – Chelsy Davy And Prince Harry
Harry and Chelsy dated for seven years before they split in 2011. A royal insider revealed that they probably would have married, but Davy didn’t want anything to do with the public life that Harry lives.
“Everyone knows he probably would have married Chelsy if she didn’t balk at the idea of public life. It’s a fact that Meghan tries to push aside, but knowing they’ve been in touch brings back all her insecurities,” a royal insider explained.
When Meghan heard that Harry had contacted Chelsy, she was upset. She couldn’t believe he would need her to contribute to his memoir.
Royal Family News – This Wasn’t Meghan’s First Time Battling Chelsy Davy
In 2019, Adam Helliker told IBT that he attended Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding. The reporter said Markle allegedly tried to create distance between her husband and his exes.
“Meghan is known to feel less comfortable with Harry’s former girlfriends, particularly Chelsy Davy, who was the prince’s first love, and with whom he went out, on and off, for seven years,” he explained. “It was Meghan who ensured that Chelsy was not included on the list for the evening party after their wedding. This was a very pointed snub when many of Harry and Chelsy’s mutual friends from pre-Meghan days were invited to the Frogmore House party.”
After Harry married Markle, he cut all ties with his ex-girlfriends. Previous to that, he remained friends with them. Davy reportedly ended her friendship with Harry over the press attention.
“He had a sort of farewell conversation with Chelsy where he spoke to her to say goodbye basically, and I think probably Cressida and Chelsy both knew that after the wedding, they wouldn’t see much of Prince Harry,” the reporter explained.
Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas responded to Prince Harry’s request to contribute to his book. They were polite and friendly, ultimately deciding not to talk with his ghostwriter. They just do not want any attention from the press.
