British royal family news teases that Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry are about to become parents to a second child, a girl, this summer. The couple have a son, Archie, and they talked about the baby on their recent Oprah Winfrey tell-all.

What they didn’t say, according to The Royal Observer, is that Meghan expects a huge bash in her honor prior to the birth of the baby and this would supposedly include her celeb friends.

Meghan had a pricy New York baby shower for Archie. It was at the Mark Hotel and reportedly included Serena Williams, Amal Clooney and Jessica Mulroney. This time around the couple are living in California and The Royal Observer is reporting that Meghan wants something even more extravagant than her first shower.

A source spilled, “Meghan was still trying to play by the royal rules when she had her first baby shower in New York. She is officially out of the family,” so she, “can do whatever she wants, which includes having a massive celebration.”

The source continued, “Expect Oprah [Winfrey] and Gayle [King] to be involved, along with Tyler Perry and all the pair’s new Hollywood friends. This is going to feel more like the Oscars than a baby shower.”

And get this, the source went to pains to say that even Queen Elizabeth is welcome! “The Queen will be very welcome if she wants to jump on Zoom,” added the insider, noting that the invite is eco-friendly and gender neutral despite the couple confirming that they are having a baby girl.

The chatty source noted, “Baby showers are much more American than British, but the Queen certainly is aware of them after all the backlash and headlines that followed Meghan’s first in New York.”

Royal Family News – Will Queen Elizabeth Attend Meghan’s Baby Shower?

Harry made the gender reveal to Oprah on Sunday, March 7 gushing, “A girl, you know, what more can you ask for? But now, you know, now we’ve got our family. We’ve got, you know, the four of us and our two dogs, and it’s great.”

Prince Harry previously said that the couple are limited to having just two children due to their concerns about overpopulating the planet and degrading the environment. Their child is due this summer.
