According to The Sun, the Duchess of Sussex has hired a new minder who used to work for Kim Kardashian. Apparently, Meghan might have hired the sought-after security expert not only to keep her safe, but for “clout” too.

One source close to the situation told the publication, “These are guys who come from a small pool of elite bodyguards, from either police or military backgrounds. Usually if a guy is good enough to work for high-profile stars, it’s not unusual for them to be sought-after. Not only for protection, but also for clout. It looks good.”

And while not much is known about this mystery security officer, he was spotted right behind Meghan Markle while she was on her hike with her friends a day after King Charles’ coronation.

A lot of royal critics believe that Meghan’s highly-publicized hike with her friends was no accident. That’s because she was apparently wearing some of Princess Diana’s most expensive jewelry, including her Cartier watch. Because that’s exactly what a lot of people would wear while they are out and about in the woods, right?

So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about her security team, although at this point it’s doubtful that they would. Both she and Prince Harry have long argued that they have felt unsafe traveling to the UK after they were stripped from their royal security and protection by King Charles. The royal family has made it pretty clear that the Sussexes don’t get to enjoy all of the royal perks that other family members get to have seeing how they are no longer considered full-time working royals.
