Royal Family News: Prince William Took A Swipe At Prince Harry During The Coronation

Even though he didn’t speak to him at the coronation and he certainly didn’t glance or look his way either, it seems like Prince William just couldn’t help himself and took a swipe at Prince Harry anyway.

There’s a new report that suggests the Prince of Wales took a jab at his little brother in the speech that he made during the coronation concert when he mentioned “free riders.” Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Apparently, William decides to highlight the importance of the royal family and how their work has remained very meaningful in today’s society.

He said, “We can all live a life of service. Service is universal. For all that celebrations are magnificent, at the heart of the pageantry is a simple message – service.”

Of course, it didn’t take very long for the internet to do it’s thing as many people believe that William’s message was directed towards his brother, Harry.

Apparently, he’s still bitter over the fact that both Harry and Meghan Markle pulled the plug on their working relationship with the royal family back in 2020. Because if there’s one thing that Harry and Meghan aren’t doing anymore, it’s servicing the people of Great Britain.

Many critics took to Twitter to comment on the matter and of course, mock the Duke of Sussex. Some comments included, “Service Harry. Do you hear that? Not a free ride,” along with, “SERVICE. Something Harry doesn’t understand.”

Needless to say, both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not made any comments about the criticism although at this point, it’s doubtful that they will. While Harry did attend the coronation, he flew back to Los Angeles after only a short 24 hour trip in London.

Meghan, meanwhile, stayed home in California as she didn’t want to attend the coronation because she worried that she would have taken the spotlight off of King Charles just by being there.
