British royal family news shows that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could become the first royals to reside in the California governor’s mansion, effectively setting history back a few centuries.
This incredible scenario has been floated by a royal insider who has no problem envisioning Meghan Markle, former basic cable actress, ruling over the millions of citizens residing in the Golden State.
To be fair, actors Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger did this exact same thing. But somehow Megs making it to the governor’s chair just hits different. Reagan had Bonzo, and Arnie had a killer tagline (I’ll be back) but what does Meghan bring to the big boy chair? Let’s find out.
Royal News: Meghan Governor of California
Princess Diana’s ex-butler Paul Burrell is talking about how Princess Harry could “become Governor of California” after being fired by Spotify.
Burrell told Slingo “Don’t underestimate Meghan, she’s ambitious. And what if she became Governor of California and lords it over Hollywood.”

Burrell went on to say that the pair labeled “f****** grifters” by Spotify could become a power couple in middle age.
According to him “It’s not so far-fetched because they have to keep going on, they have to keep reinventing themselves because if they don’t, that brand is going to disappear, the Sussex brand will disappear.” Did Brit Burrell skip all of his high school history classes?
Royal Family News: Meghan’s Political Ambitions
To his credit, the royal insider does think that Meghan being Governor of California would be a great way to make good on their Megxit promise to “go and do some public service.”
According to GB News, Burrell also argues that Meghan becoming governor would “honor Diana’s legacy while getting the public back on their side.” Unfortunately, the public does not much fancy Meghan nor Harry.
Royal Family News: Meghan and Harry Unpopular
The outlet correctly notes that “multiple polls conducted for Newsweek have suggested Harry and Meghan have had a rough time of it stateside following the release of the Duke’s tell-all memoir, Spare.” Not its your turn royal fans, do you think Meghan has what it takes to rule the land in her home state of California?
