It was nothing less than a trip to Balmoral that showed just how royal-like Kate was even before she married into The Firm. A trip to Balmoral has been described as the “Balmoral Test” for those newbies fresh to the royal family. It was a visit Meghan allegedly snubbed.

Christopher Andersen wrote in his book, William and Kate: A Royal Love Story, that Kate passed the Balmoral Test like an ace.

He said, “It was one thing to be asked to accompany Wills on club-hopping excursions in London and Edinburgh. It was quite another to be invited to Balmoral, which William’s great-great-great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria called ‘this dear Paradise.’”

Jobson added that Charles also would have been on board for this to happen. Balmoral is said to be Prince Charles’ favorite place to visit and he would not have approved for just anyone to come and unpack their things there.

While the Cambridges will one day head up the monarchy, Meghan and Harry have joined the disposable ranks of celebdom. This week Harry delivered another preachy lecture while Meghan was feted for a book she “wrote.”
