Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Supplies Gun Law Advocates With “Bagels”

British royal family news shows that Meghan Markle’s high-profile habit of inserting herself into the political conversation—invited or not—continues. This week Shannon Watts of Moms Demand Action revealed that out of nowhere Meghan plied the group with freebies. She also made sure they got a note from her signed as Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex. You’ve got to hand it to Me-Again, there is no level she will not sit upon.

According to People, Watts claims that Meghan The Duchess, “praised the work of women campaigning for safer gun laws — and sent them some ‘delicious and appreciated’ treats to keep them fueled.”

The org tweeted this: “@MomsDemand volunteers and staff have been working around the clock for weeks, so it was moving to receive such a supportive note – and snacks! – from the Duchess of Sussex today.” Watts shared the message on Twitter along with a copy of the letter signed claiming to be a duchess.

Watts next tweeted, “Lots of questions about the snacks! Donuts, bagels w/the works, coffee, cookies, etc… Delicious and appreciated.”

Meghan’s note read in part: “Good afternoon ladies! To each of you and your fearless leader, Shannon, a huge thank you for the work you are doing to keep our kids, families, and communities safe.”

“Please know that while you may feel exhausted by your endless hours of dedication to this cause, I hope you feel energized in knowing that the work you’re doing is vital and so deeply appreciated. As a mom, as a friend, thank you so much!”

Moms Demand Action describes itself as a, “grassroots movement of Americans fighting for public safety measures that can protect people from gun violence. We pass stronger gun laws and work to close the loopholes that jeopardize the safety of our families.”

It’s not the first time Meghan has thrust herself into the public domain in support of a political issue. In June, royal-dissing Meghan Markle flew round trip to Uvalde, Texas where photos of her standing at a makeshift memorial (failing to remove her hat out of respect) quicky circulated. Nearly 20 lives were lost there in a school shootout.

Social media pointed out that her photo op was not nearly as personal as a visit to her stroke-victim dad would have been. Apparently she still hasn’t found time to visit her dad, who was felled at the same time as the school shooting, despite his pleas.
