Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Uses Archewell Foundation To Track Female Workers

British royal family news divulges that Meghan Markle will support Smart Works, one of her UK patronages, with a grant from her and Prince Harry’s US-based Archewell Foundation which was created after they abandoned the monarchy in 2020.

According to Hello! the project, “will help finance one of the charity’s major 2022 projects, titled The Smart Works Female Unemployment Index.”

Smart Works uses 300 trained volunteers to help, “long-term unemployed and vulnerable women regain the skills, confidence and tools to succeed at job interviews, return to employment and transform their lives,” according to the Daily Mail.

Meghan was made patron of Smart Works in January 2019. Although she is no longer a senior working role, she has been allowed to keep the role.

She has also been kept on as the patron of the UK animal charity Mayhew. When she ditched the monarchy she was made to give up her royal patronages of the National Theatre and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

Kate Stephens is the CEO of Smart Works and she said, “We are so grateful to Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex and Archewell Foundation for their steadfast support of Smart Works’ mission and continued growth.”

Stephens added, “’Whether in person or remote, we are dedicated to providing women with the tools they need to feel confident at such a critical moment in their lives, and the research we are undertaking will shine a light on the challenges they face.”

The latest project from the charity will be published later this year. The report addresses female unemployment in the UK. In 2019 Meghan launched, “a sell-out capsule collection with Smart Works and her designer pal Misha Nonoo.”

In spring 2021, she sent notes on behalf of the and on an Instagram Story posted at the time, the charity divulged Meghan, “sent notes to four clients from her home in California … typed on the computer.”

This weekend Meghan raised eyebrows by issuing a statement about Joe Biden’s Supreme Court pick: “’Judge Jackson’s nomination has opened new ground for women’s representation at the highest level of a judicial system that for too long has tilted against the very community she hails from.”
