Royal Family News: Meghan Markle’s ‘Ambition And Activism’ Is Driving Her Agenda

British royal family news reveals that 2021 could be Meghan Markle, Duchess of Susex’s most public year ever, according to one royal watcher. What happened to her vow of privacy and declared distaste of public life? Good questions. Robert Lacey wrote Battle of the Brothers, and according to him Meghan isn’t giving up the spotlight anytime soon.

He describes her as, “the most outsider,” of the UK royals, and claims she is, “immensely attracted to her ambition and activism.”

He added, “Meghan is the member of the family who is the most outsider of them all, a self-made woman who is coming into an ancient institution, and I think she’s going to have to change a great deal in reaction to the impact that she has,” Lacey told Express.

He went on to say, “I am immensely attracted to her ambitions and activism; I don’t agree with all her ideas or her politics, but I admire her energy, and I think a lot more is going to happen before we hear the end of Meghan Markle.”

That is highly likely as Meghan Thee Duchess of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry Duke of Sussex owe Spotify a boatload of podcasts and are in debt to Netflix for a ton of content. They are also represented by Harry Walker Agency for their golden throats, although have yet to book a gig with them.

And then there is their new website called Archewell, named for their son Archie. Now that Meghan has whisked Harry away from the UK and his family, Lacey thinks that they both will lap up the limelight. He also thinks that Prince Harry is now outside the shadow of brother Prince William.

According to Lacey, Meghan has, “radical initiatives, radical impulses; do they fit inside the rather safe and conservative British Royal Family?”

“This was a woman who couldn’t fit inside the Royal Family, so, as a result, she’s no longer royal.” Except that’s not what Meghan thinks, proven by her demand that she be referred to as Duchess of Sussex.

Royal Family News: 2020 Could Be Meghan’s Year

Lacey went on to say that the royal family may have misplayed their hand where Meghan is concerned. “If they had sat down with her at the start and said, “Let’s talk about the things you are interested in”, he thinks things might have been different.

Instead, the Markle’s are living like Hollywood Royalty and giving no indication they’ll drop the mic anytime soon.
