Royal Family News: Meghan Markle’s Epic Birthday Party Cancelled

British royal family news shows that Meghan Markle will have a “low-key 40th birthday” on Wednesday August 4 according to Page Six. In other words, no one wanted to be seen at a birthday bash in her honor?
But that doesn’t mean that Prince Harry won’t bust the bank trying to please her sources tell Page Six.

The Daily Mail reported that a party for 60 people was in the works, but that seems to have gone by the wayside. Now it’s being reported that, “There are no plans for a big party for the Duchess of Sussex, who only recently gave birth to her daughter Lilibet.”

Why would that huge U-turn take place? There is still the bad odor associated with their scandalous Oprah Winfrey tell-all interview. In it they trashed his family and since then have gone on to rant and act at times bizarrely. Is it shocking that none of their former circle want to be associated with that kind of astonishingly bad behavior?

One can’t use the excuse that COVID is keeping the party plans at bay. On the very same day that Meghan turns 40, former President Obama celebrates his 60th birthday and has publicized an epic event at his Martha’s Vineyard home. Page Six reported that the Sussexes are not planning to attend Obama’s party but discreetly failed to mention if that’s because they were not invited. The couples were once lovey dovey but after the Markle’s displayed such petulant, privileged behavior in America, we really haven’t seen the kinds of celeb hobnobbing they used to do. Remember when music mogul David Foster was Harry’s “surrogate dad?”

The Mail reported that Meghan hired Oprah Winfrey’s party planner Colin Cowie for a big bash, but that seems to have gone nowhere and apparently there will be no big event celebrating Meghan.

AS Page Six notes, Meghan, “best friends — and potential guests of any limited-attendance birthday party — all live in the US, including her college pal Lindsay Roth, actresses Janina Gavankar and Abigail Spencer,TV director Silver Tree and makeup artist Daniel Martin.” That’s hardly a who’s who of the Hollywood A-Listers they were rumored to once be courting.

And this year sounds like a far cry from her 36th birthday. At that time they were still royals in good standing and Harry jetted her off to Botswana, Africa.

For Meghan Markle’s 37th birthday she and Harry attended the society wedding of his friend Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks.
