Royal Family News: Meghan Markle’s New Kid’s Project Could be All About Her (Again)

British royal family news reveals that hot on the heels of Meghan Markle announcing her second attempt at entertaining kids, some think the project will again be all about her.

Yesterday she let it be known, using the ironic name Duchess of Sussex, that she is involved in a new animated Netflix series for kids. Since her first kid’s project went over so well (not) why is she even trying again?

The show is tentatively titled Pearl and some think it will be based on her own childhood. The title character and the show share the name Pearl, and that name has a personal connection to the runaway royal.

The new project focuses on a, “12-year-old heroine who finds inspiration in influential women from history.”

Precious few details were provided other than that a co-producer, Elton John’s husband David Furnish, was on board presumably to do some of the heavy lifting since Meghan has zero experience in production.

So how does the name Pearl figure into Meghan’s personal life? According to the Daily Mail, “the name Meghan originated in Wales, where it is traditionally spelled Megan, and where it means ‘pearl’ – the moniker given to the leading lady of the Duchess of Sussex’s new animated series.”

Should we presume that Meghan’s intellect put two and two together when titling the new project? You decide.

What can be said with certainly is that her kid’s book, released this summer, is based on her. The so-called “vanity project” is said to be based on a poem she once wrote. Or at least that’s her story after critics accused her of plagiarism.

Royal Family News – Will Meghan Be More Successful The Second Time Around?

Her children’s book The Bench, “which was firmly panned by readers on both sides of the Atlantic,” featured several illustrations that appear to depict herself, her husband, and their first-born child Archie.

As well as perhaps being the inspiration for the title character for her new project, Meghan has also named herself “creator and executive producer,” despite having no such experience. Talk about taking jobs from those who put in the time and dedication to forge a career path in production. Maybe the adage, ‘it’s not what you know but who you know’ is at play here?
