Royal Family News: Mike Tindall In Trouble For Snubbing “Royal Protocol” On I’m A Celebrity?

British royal family news shows that royal family member and former pro rugby player Mike Tindall is raising eyebrows by appearing on a titillating reality show. He can be seen on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and now comes word that he has “breached royal protocol” after talking about his political beliefs. Did anyone think this would end well?

Tindall, host of the podcast The Good, the Bad and the Rugby, is married to Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Tindall. This week he bared all, so to speak, when he talked about his opinions to campmate Seann Walsh.

What did he have to say about British politicians? “I just think all politicians are f***ers,” he said. “I mean, for them to even have the conversation just because they’re all Boris fans that didn’t like how Boris was ousted that you won’t pick the best person for the job, that sums politicians up.”

Hmm. That would seem to go against the royal protocol that royals not discuss politics, and against the royal mantra, “never complain, never explain.”

The British royal family foregoes discussing politics in public so as to stay impartial.

Royal Family News – Mike Tindall Talks Politics

There is one factor that may excuse mike from any faux pas, however. Neither he nor Zara are working members of the royal family. Thus they do not formally represent the monarchy in public. Zara is the daughter of the Princess Royal and Mark Phillips, and she does not have a royal title.

Nonetheless not everyone was willing to overlook Tindall’s curt comment. Former BBC royal correspondent Michael Cole told Good Morning Britain: “He made a very pointed political remark. That’s royal commentary isn’t it. The royal family and politics do not mix. Why can’t he, if he wanted to do a job, do an honest job, be a coach or something?”

Royal Family News – Mike Tindall Criticized

James Haskell, is a former England rugby player and he co-hosts Mike’s podcast. He spoke up to defend his mate: “I don’t disagree with his view on politicians… I won’t repeat it. I think actually, it’s not King Charles [III] talking about it, it’s not Prince William talking about it, it’s not those people making those statements. It’s someone who is so far removed making a comment.”

Tindall is not shying away from controversy. He was also filmed talking about a time he “s***-dropped in front of his mother-in-law, Princess Anne, during Zara’s 30th birthday party.”

He said that at a party, “I was dancing on the dance floor, I had like flares on, full outfit but it was quite tight, nothing ever fits – rugby player’s bum and legs – so I was dancing with my mother-in-law and I did a s***-drop in front of my mother-in-law.”

“Ripped my trousers, straight in front of her. It happened to be that my boxers that I had on at that time said ‘nibble my nuts.’”

Tindall said that Anne “walked off” saying “I’d rather not.” Can someone anoint this guy the winner already?
