It looks like King Charles is dealing with the same problem that former President Donald Trump dealt with back during his 2017 Inauguration. That’s because he’s having a hard time getting any big names to perform at his Coronation. In fact, he’s having a hard time getting anyone at all. Trump can certainly relate. According to a new report, the royal family would love to see a huge pop star take the star for King Charles’ Coronation, but it seems like that won’t happen.

In fact, several A-list celebrities have so far declined their invitations to perform at the ceremony. A few of them include Elton John, who happens to still be good friends with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and even The Spice Girls.

One source close to the situation even told The Sun, “Organizers are working against the clock to pull together an exciting line-up but have hit a series of challenges. Elton John was top of Charles’ list but due to his European tour, which sees him performing in Germany the Friday before then again soon after the Windsor concert, he isn’t able to make the dash to the UK work. Meanwhile, man-of-the-moment Harry Styles is also tied up with touring and unable to get key band members together as they’ll be on much-needed downtime.”

What’s more, both Adele and Ed Sheeren have also said that they won’t be able to make it to the Coronation. Ed Sheeren said that it was a logistics issue on his end because he is playing a concert in Texas the night before. However, Adele hasn’t said anything as to why she can’t make the Coronation, but it might also be because she’s still good friends with Harry and Meghan as well. Clearly, there are a lot of celebrities who are picking sides here and it shows!
