Royal Family News: Odds Are 9/1 That Princess Eugenie Names Her Baby Alice Or Arthur!

British royal family news reveals the delightful information that Britain’s Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank are expecting their first child together. The UK pair announced their good news in September and in response British fans and royal watchers are having a grand time predicting what they think the joyful expectant parents will name their royal offspring.

Do you think you know what the parents to be are thinking of as a suitable name for a royal boy or girl?

Royal Watchers Are Trying To Guess What Princess Eugenie And Her Husband Jack Brooksbank Will Name Their Little One

Would you believe that the cute name Alice is the top prediction for a baby girl? Meanwhile, the masculine names Henry and Arthur are the top guesses for a boy baby.

In fact, British bookmakers are so confident that the newest royal baby will be named with a moniker starting with the letter A that they are laying odds on it.

Will The Newest Royal Babe Be Christened With A Name That Begins With The Letter A?

People magazine has reported that the very topmost prediction for the next royal name to be bestowed is a girl’s name: Alice. The odds of a royal Alice entering the world next are 9/1.

Why all the confidence? Well, Alice is the name of Eugenie’s paternal great grandmother! That’s right, Prince Philip’s mom’s name was Princess Alice of Battenberg.

The odds are also 9/1 that either Arthur or Henry are names that are going to be bestowed if the couple has a boy.

What Are The Chances That Princess Eugenie Names Her Child Alice Or Arthur?

Both of these regal names also have a royal precedent. Prince Harry’s real name is Henry, and if they chose to honor him it would be a nice tribute to the Duke of Sussex. Arthur is a famous middle name among the royals, with Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Louis all claiming it.

No matter what Eugenie and Jack choose to name their baby, the BBC is claiming that it will not have a title because Jack lacks a royal title which means his child does not inherit one.

According to the BBC, “Because the child will be born down a female line of the Royal Family—and drinks executive Mr. Brooksbank has no royal status—he or she will be plain Master or Miss Brooksbank.”

But Queen Elizabeth can intervene and grant the child an earldom or bestow a title on the new baby herself. The child is due in early 2021 so we don’t have long to wait!
