Royal Family news reveals that, according to Newshub, Kerry Kennedy, daughter of Robert F. Kennedy will be presenting the award to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex next month. The Ripple of Hope Award is being given to the royal couple for standing up to the alleged racism they faced while they were still working members of the Royal Family.

Royal fans may recall when Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle sat down with famed talk show host Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 claiming that a member of the Royal Family made a racist remark about the skin tone of their yet-unborn son, Archie.

Piers Morgan Labels Sussexes ‘Grifters’

Newsweek reports that it takes a certain element of courage to stand up to the Royal Family, especially when they were still a working part of that institution. Many praised the Sussexes for the stand they took against racism, but Morgan is reportedly unhappy with the outcome (via The Mirror).

“The idea that these two little grifters, who quit royal duty, quit Britain… exploited and fleeced their royal titles for hundreds of millions of dollars straight in their back pocket,” the British broadcaster said on Fox & Friends, Monday. “The idea that they’re being lauded as some kind of heroes in America by your own sort of royal family, if you like, the Kennedys, it really sticks in my gullet.”

Piers Morgan Calls Award ‘Completely Outrageous’

Following the show, Piers criticized the Sussexes for “tarnishing” the Royal Family in the media and accused Prince Harry of causing distress to his father King Charles III with the looming release of his memoir, Spare, in spite of the fact that the newly minted monarch is still dealing with the emotional aftermath of the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II.

“You’ve got Meghan Markle, who was a sort of two-bit mediocre actress who married into a family, took our favorite prince, took him to America, and is now spending her entire time trying to attack the monarchy,” the controversial television personality said.

“And I’m sorry, but as a monarchist and as somebody who loves this country, I think it’s completely outrageous that they are now being given the cloak of honor and prestige and branded heroes by a Kennedy.”
