Royal Family News: Piers Morgan Rages At Harry and Meghan’s TV Award Nomination

British royal family news reports that UK broadcaster Piers Morgan takes exception to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry receiving a Hollywood Critics Association TV Award nomination for their trashtastic Netflix reality show. It was titled Harry & Meghan and as a rant-filled circus it was great, as a serous piece of documentary it was meh.

The pundit and the couple have had their share of public spats and Morgan tweeted: “Many congratulations to Meghan & Harry on being nominated for an award for trashing their families on TV. Truly heart-warming.”

The docuseries was not nominated for an Emmy however, allegedly leaving the couple despondent.

Meghan and Morgan were once Twitter pals, then Harry came into the picture. As the rumor goes, Harry put a stop to her texting and she ghosted Morgan point blank.

Prior to this Harry brought a lawsuit against the Mirror Group, suggesting that Morgan participated in illegal activity while working there. Morgan also worked for Daily Mirror, involved in another lawsuit brought by Harry.

Harry didn’t hold back in his witness statement for the Mirror lawsuit, claiming that the claim subjected both he and Meghan “to a barrage of horrific personal attacks and intimidation from Piers Morgan, who was the Editor of the Daily Mirror between 1995 and 2004.” He also name dropped his beloved mother, the late Princess Diana, accusing Morgan of illegal activity against both of them.

Royal Family News: Harry Accuses Piers of Illegal Activity

Before her death Princess Diana was involved in a relationship with Michael Barrymore and Morgan reportedly “released personal details” about the relationship.

Harry’s statement referenced this: “Given my mother’s very hectic schedule in the months leading up to her death in 1997, I think it is also safe to assume that she would have been exchanging voicemails with Mr. Barrymore about his problems and their plans to meet up.”

He also refers to a letter in which Diana talks about being “devastated” that the Daily Mirror “had somehow discovered details of their private meetings and being horrified at the thought of Mr. Barrymore thinking that she had leaked the details together with Mr. Morgan’s reference to ‘secret’ meetings, I can only assume that this information had been obtained via voicemail interception and/or other unlawful information gathering such as live landline tapping.” As you can see the hard feelings between the two men don’t seem to be dissipating.
