British royal family news reveals that Prince Andrew stands to lose his fortune if he loses an upcoming court case. The case brought against him in a New York city courtroom accuses the Duke of York of sexual abuse of a minor. It has been brought by Virginia Roberts Giuffre and is set to be heard this fall.

According to one lawyer, if Andrew loses the case, his assets could be seized by bailiffs. Arick Fudali is a lawyer who has worked closely with victims of the duke’s late friend, Jeffrey Epstein.

Fudali told The Sun that Andrew stands to lose any assets in his name if he loses the assault case.

He told the outlet, “There is a method and procedure for seizing assets, even overseas assets, in the event there is an award of damages and the defendant tries to avoid paying. Assuming for the sake of this question that there is an award of damages against Prince Andrew, he would be able to avoid the seizure of assets by posting a bond pending the inevitable appeal.”

He added, “Assuming the appeal goes in favor of Ms. Giuffre, Prince Andrew would either have to pay the amount owed, settle the matter for another amount, or risk his assets being seized.”

According to Geo TV, “Giuffre alleges that she was forced to have sex with Andrew in London, New York and on a private Caribbean island between 1999 and 2002, when she says Epstein kept her as a ‘sex slave.’” Andrew denies the charges against him.
